On behalf of everyone at Resist and the Annandale Hotel, we invite you to Resistmas, our first ever Christmas party. It will be at the Annandale Hotel on Saturday December 17 from 7.00pm.

Playing on the night will be A Death In The Family, I Exist and our latest edition to the Resist family Toy Boats.

The Annandale will be running their annual Smith Family drive, feel free to bring along a small wrapped gift to place under the Annandale’s Christmas tree to go to under privileged kids throughout Sydney.

A Death In The Family’s new EP “Origins” is out now. The EP consists of four new tracks and is available on 10″ vinyl and CD formats. As bonus material the CD will include a cover of Leatherface’s ‘Watching You Sleep’ and the out-of-print tracks from the 2007 Split with Manifesto Jukebox. The band will be hitting the road this July with fellow Melbournites The Nation Blue.

Melbourne’s A Death In the Family will this week commence recording a new EP, the follow up to 2009′s “Small Town Stories”. Recording will once again take place with Sam Johnson at Three Phase Studios, the yet to be titled EP will consist of four new tracks to be released on 10″ vinyl and CD format. As bonus material the CD will include their cover of the Leatherface’s ‘Watching You Sleep’ and the out-of-print tracks from the 2007 Split with Manifesto Jukebox.

A Death In The Family will join Rise Against this week as part of the Big Day Out side shows playing Tue Jan 19th @ The Enmore Theatre, Sydney and Sun Jan 24th @ The Hi-Fi-Bar, Melbourne.

Parkway Drive has taken out Band Of The Year, Aussie Band Of The Year, Best Music DVD Of The Year and Best Show (Riverstage, Brisbane) in the 2009 Blunt Readers Choice Awards. Confession also won Australian Album Of The Year. Other noteable mentions go to 50 Lions, A Death In The Family and Break Even for making the 100 Albums You Should Have Heard in 2009.

Pre orders are now available for the vinyl version of A Death In The Family’s new album “Small Town Stories”. The band will be finishing up the “Small Town Stories” tour this week with shows in Perth, before joining Rise Against and International Noise Conspiracy for their tour dates in Adelaide and Melbourne. This April / May, the band heads to the USA where they will be touring with The Gaslight Anthem and will return to Sydney this June playing at Come Together Festival on June 7.
