Now in it’s 11th year, Hardcore 2010 is shaping up to again prove itself as Australia’s premier hardcore music event. This year focusing on showcasing the best Australia has to offer the festival spans across July 2nd at the Manning Bar (18+) and July 3rd at the Factory Theatre (All Ages). This years line up is announced in full with the following bands playing.

BLKOUT announce April dates and new EP

Formed in 2007, BLKOUT has steadily gained momentum since their inception, 2010 sees them standing on their own two feet and shrugging the tag of “side project”. With the addition of “the Pete’s”, Pete Bursky and Abordi (Last Nerve, No Apologies) on guitar and bass guitar respectively, this year proves to be the year that BLKOUT realises their full potential.

With work on their sophomore album, a follow up to 2009′s powerhouse “Total Depravity” already underway, the band will enter the studio with Lachlan Mitchell (Toe To Toe, The Dead Walk, No Apologies) in April to record new material for a 7″ ep to be released mid 2010 and will also hit the road in early April for a batch of shows that will see them cover the eastern states of Australia.

Possessed with an earth shaking heaviness and alarming “no frills” punk urgency, Belgium’s Rise And Fall are the next chapter of true hardcore / punk greatness. Four years since the release of “Into Oblivion”, Rise And Fall have now completed their circle. On October 27th, Rise And Fall will release their highly anticipated new album “Our Circle Is Vicious” on Deathwish and this December will finish the year with their first visit to Australia where they will be joined by Perth’s Blkout and Newcastle’s The Hollow. Resist is proud to announce the signing of Perth hardcore band Blkout! to its roster. In a time of economic unrest and free world administration change, social unrest is inevitable. Blkout’s debut album “”Total Depravity”, takes strong influence from this current climate, mixing hard riffs and abrasive vocals to create a New York Hardcore influenced sound that will leave the masses on their knees hopelessly praying for forgiveness.
