Following the success of their debut album Cancer (2009) and sold-out national tours throughout 2010, Confession will be hitting the road throughout October on “The Long Way home” Tour along with Thy Art Is Murder and Antagonist A.D. Recorded with iconic Swedish metal producer Fredrik Nordström (Bring Me The Horizon, I Killed The Prom Queen, In Flames), at his Gothenburg Studio, The Long Way Home will be instores September 23 through Resist Records.

CONFESSION ENTER STUDIO TO RECORD NEW ALBUM

Melbourne’s Confession is currently in Gothenburg, Sweden tracking their new full-length, the follow up to 2009′s Cancer. The latest record will be produced by Fredrik Nordström whose production credits include Bring Me The Horizon, I Killed The Prom Queen and In Flames.

Frontman Michael Crafter commented “We spent time in Byron Bay at the Parkway house writing this record. Hopefully some of the magic the house has brought forward in the past shines through on these new songs. The new album is something we are proud of and touches on a lot of things in and around the lives we live. We decided to head to Sweden due to the fact European’s know metal and we feel Frederik will make this CD sound massive and he will bring a lot to the table as far as production and ideas go”

Expect the new album out in the coming months.

CONFESSION ANNOUNCES OCTOBER / NOVEMBER DATES

Melbourne’s Confession has announced a run of shows for this October / November. Having recently completed a national run with The Amity Affliction, in the coming months they will get back to their roots on the “Keeping It Bogan” tour – with all members growing up in regional towns, the tour will visit various cities and towns away from the hussle and bussle of the big smoke.

Joining them will be Sydney bands Hand Of Mercy and Sienna Skies with Sydney’s Relentless playing the Perth dates. Tickets on sale September 8.

Confession announce Australian dates

On the eve of their maiden tour of Europe, Melbourne’s Confession has announced a new run of dates on the East Coast of Australia this April / May. Joining them will be Thy Art Is Murder, Wish For Wings and Lovers Grave.

In October 2009, Confession unleashed their debut album “Cancer”. Debuting at #1 in the AIR Independent chart, “Cancer” also picked up Australian album of the year in the annual Blunt Magazine Readers Poll. Having recently completed the Sick Summer Tour with Parkway Drive, next week the band are off to Europe for a month long tour with For The Fallen Dreams before returning home to headline the inaugural Mistake Tour this April / May.

Parkway Drive has taken out Band Of The Year, Aussie Band Of The Year, Best Music DVD Of The Year and Best Show (Riverstage, Brisbane) in the 2009 Blunt Readers Choice Awards. Confession also won Australian Album Of The Year. Other noteable mentions go to 50 Lions, A Death In The Family and Break Even for making the 100 Albums You Should Have Heard in 2009.
