OSLOW ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR DATES

Sydney post-punk outfit Oslow have announced a string of east coast summer tour dates together with a music video for ‘Sewing’, taken from their debut Self Titled album.

SATURDAY 25 NOVEMBER – TRANSIT BAR, CANBERRA
SUNDAY 26 NOVEMBER – RAD BAR, WOLLONGONG
SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER – OLD BAR, MELBOURNE
THURSDAY 7 DECEMBER – HAMILTON STATION HOTEL, NEWCASTLE
FRIDAY 15 DECEMBER – FACTORY FLOOR, SYDNEY

Off the back of the success of 2015’s No Longer Concerns Me 7”, the four-piece released their long-awaited debut full-length Oslow in February this year to critical acclaim. In joining forces with producer/engineer Dylan Adams (DMA’s, James Blake) to record the album, Oslow honed their craft to exercise a more purposeful and deliberate method to their song writing. Oslow nabbed Indie Album of The Week in The Brag with US outlet Brooklyn Vegan premiering the record internationally, labelling it “atmospheric.” Locally, Kill Your Stereo dubbed it “a work of art”, with The Music noting it’s at once “tense and soothing”, and industry friends AIR calling it “an enthralling debut album.” It was playlisted on Triple Rand SYN FM with first single ‘Cold Dark Space’ receiving spins on FBi and triple j’s Short.Fast.Loud and Home & Hosed.

The video for ‘Sewing’ was filmed in the house where Oslow wrote most of their debut album, capturing the feel of lived in spaces, showing some of their home but as little of them as they could. On the single, singer Dylan Farrugia explains, “Sewing was a song that came together pretty quickly early on during the writing process. It was a fun song to write and really set the tone for a more pop-punk leaning record. The song is about letting your illness fester, to the point where you believe it defines your identity. Not being able to recognise what it means to be well or unwell.”

RAGE “FEEL THE BURN” EP OUT SEPTEMBER 8

Resist Records welcomes Rage to its roster. Their debut EP “Feel The Burn” will be released on September 8.

Originally conceived as a means to fill in free time as other bands slowed down, Rage was formed in mid-2016 and immediately got to work. Shows started to be booked after only a couple of rehearsals and a well received demo tape followed shortly after. Since then, Rage has been hard at work piecing together new music whilst playing shows with a wide range of Australian and International bands both locally and interstate.

With the release of “Feel The Burn”, Rage aim to deliver 5 cuts of slamming hardcore punk, influenced by American hardcore greats, British punks and Australia’s hardest bands. Initial production of the record was handled by Blake Ohlback (Choke, Homesick) and the record was then mixed by Chris Corry (No Tolerance, The Rival Mob) before being mastered by Dan Randall (86 Mentality, The Flex).
