PARKWAY DRIVE NOMINATED FOR ARIA AWARD
With just weeks until the 2010 ARIA Awards take place at the iconic Sydney Opera House (Sunday, 7 November on Network Ten) the nominees across a record 31 categories have been announced with Byron Bay’s Parkway Drive being nominated for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album for their album “Deep Blue”. Parkway Drive have also been nominated for Best Hard Rock or Punk Album at the Independent Music Awards held in Melbourne this Friday.
Released in June, Deep Blue debuted ARIA #2 and #39 in the US Billboard 200.

A DEATH IN THE FAMILY PREMIERE LION HEARTED VIDEO

Parkway Drive to host Triple J’s Short Fast Loud

PARKWAY DRIVE SELLS OUT HORDERN PAVILION
Later this month Byron Bay’s Parkway Drive returns home for the “Deep Blue” Australian Tour. These homecoming shows are the first on home soil since their landmark album Deep Blue debuted ARIA #2 and #39 in the US Billboard 200.
With the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney and the Showgrounds in Hobart now sold out, tickets for the remaining Australian shows are expected to sell out in advance.
Deep Blue has thrilled critics such as prestigious UK magazine Metal Hammer who dubbed it “a milestone album for modern metal” fans agree, keeping the album in the ARIA charts over 10 weeks and snapping up thousands of tickets for shows that will see Parkway Drive playing the biggest venues the band has headlined to date.

CARPATHIAN “WANDERLUST” 7″
After two years of touring the world, Carpathian have returned with their most soulful and pensive effort to date, the “Wanderlust” 7″EP. Recorded in their home of Melbourne by Drew Parsons, the effort was shipped over to the states where Jay Mass (“Isolation” engineer) handled the final mixing duties.
From the first ringing notes, it’s apparent that Carpathian have grown into a darker and more reflective band since the release of “Isolation”. Altogether “Wanderlust” is a special effort. Not an EP placeholder between albums, but the sound of a band searching for their own unique collective voice.
“Wanderlust” 7″ EP will be instores September 17.

CONFESSION ANNOUNCES OCTOBER / NOVEMBER DATES
Melbourne’s Confession has announced a run of shows for this October / November. Having recently completed a national run with The Amity Affliction, in the coming months they will get back to their roots on the “Keeping It Bogan” tour – with all members growing up in regional towns, the tour will visit various cities and towns away from the hussle and bussle of the big smoke.
Joining them will be Sydney bands Hand Of Mercy and Sienna Skies with Sydney’s Relentless playing the Perth dates. Tickets on sale September 8.

THE GHOST INSIDE HEADLINE SHOWS
Touring Australia this September / October as part of Parkway Drive’s Deep Blue Tour, Los Angeles The Ghost Inside will be playing two of their own headline dates in Sydney and Melbourne. On Tuesday Sept 28 they play the Sandringham Hotel in Newtown with Relentless and Hand Of Mercy. On Thursday Sept 30 they play Next in Melbourne with Lovers Grave and Feed Her To The Sharks.
